Celebrating service and dedication

Northern Lights Public Schools is celebrating staff milestones this month, recognizing over 1,455 years of service contributed by 102 staff throughout the division.

“We are incredibly thankful to have staff who have devoted their careers to supporting our students and schools,” said Board Chair Karen Packard. “While we mark years of service, what we’re truly recognizing is the dedication, care, and effort our staff invest every day—whether it’s working with students, partnering with families, embracing professional growth, or creating positive and inclusive learning environments. Their contributions are what make NLPS a vibrant and inspiring place to learn and work.”

This year, two NLPS staff are celebrating milestones of 35 years or more with the school division - Dennis Hodinsky from Cold Lake High School and Tammy Becotte from Cold Lake Junior High.

Trustees are visiting schools in May and June to present staff who have reached milestones with the division with certificates and gifts in recognition of their years of service to the division.
