New Assistant Principal for Duclos School

Northern Lights Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Morgan Ferbey as the new Assistant Principal of Duclos School in Bonnyville for the 2025-2026 school year.

“Building strong relationships with students, families and staff is a key focus for Morgan,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson. “She is committed to providing effective instructional leadership and creating a positive, supportive learning environment where all students can thrive.”

Ferbey began her teaching career at Duclos School in 2017 and was selected as the division’s nominee for the Edwin Parr Teacher Award in her first year of teaching. For the last year, she has served as Acting Assistant Principal at Duclos School, while also fulfilling the role of Student Support Team Coordinator. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Education in Educational Studies through the University of Alberta.

"I am honoured to be joining Duclos School as Assistant Principal and continuing my journey with Northern Lights Public Schools,” said Ferbey. “Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Grade 4 teacher and as the Student Support Team Coordinator. Duclos holds a very special place in my heart, not only did I begin my career in education here, but it's also where members of my family have worked for nearly 50 years. Being part of this school community has shown me firsthand the care, commitment, and excellence that define Duclos. I’m excited to support our students, staff, and families in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where every learner can thrive."
