Northern Lights Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Vonda Worthman as the new Assistant Principal of H.E. Bourgoin School in Bonnyville for the 2025-2026 school year.
“Vonda is dedicated to fostering a student-focused school culture where learners feel empowered and engaged,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson. “She is also committed to building strong, collaborative relationships with families to support student success and create an inclusive, welcoming environment.”
Worthman began her career with Northern Lights Public Schools in 2006 as a substitute teacher. The following year she joined the team at H.E. Bourgoin School, where she has taught grades 6 and 7, served as a literacy support teacher, and, for the last three years, has been the school’s Student Support Team Coordinator. In each of these roles she has demonstrated a strong commitment to student learning and school leadership.
“I am truly honoured to step into the role of Assistant Principal at HEB. This school holds a very special place in my heart. I hold so much love and respect for this incredible community,” said Worthman. “I’m excited to continue serving our students and families in this new capacity. It’s a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team of teaching and support staff who always have the best interests of our students in mind. Building strong relationships has always been at the heart of what I do, and I can’t wait to keep growing together with our HEB family.”
