Purpose and Nature of the Scholarship
The purpose of this bursary is to support and encourage a graduating student from NLPS who is embarking on a career in the welding trade. It aims to alleviate the initial financial burden associated with pursuing a welding apprenticeship program at a post-secondary institution, thereby fostering skilled trades development within the community.

Qualification Criteria
- Criteria:
- the student must be a current graduate of NLPS and can only apply in their graduating year
- the student must be entering into a welding apprenticeship program at a post-secondary institution. They must provide proof of registration and acceptance.
- Personal Statement: why you are applying for this bursary and how it will help achieve your educational and career goals.
- Letter of Recommendation
- If more than one candidate achieves substantially identical qualification criteria from above, the award shall be given to the student with the greatest financial need. More information may need to be provided.
