Northern Lights Public Schools is pleased to announce that Jill Toutant has been appointed Assistant Principal of the Youth Assessment Centre in Lac La Biche.
“Jill is a strong advocate for students and works collaboratively inside and outside of the division to ensure students have the supports they need,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson. “She is focused on building positive relationships with students so they can meet their goals.”
Toutant was previously Principal of the Youth Assessment Centre in 2012-2013. Prior to that she was Assistant Principal at Central Elementary School in Lac La Biche for six years. Most recently, Toutant served as a Learning Consultant with the division, and as an English Second Language (ESL) Support Teacher at Aurora Middle School and J.A. Williams High School in Lac La Biche.
“I am looking forward to helping students through strength-based approaches to meet academic goals by providing individualised programming to support all learners,” said Toutant. “I am also excited to make some experiential learning opportunities available to the students.”
