New Principal for Ardmore School

Northern Lights Public Schools is pleased to announce that Marjorie Charles has been appointed Principal of Ardmore School for the 2022-2023 school year.

“During her time with NLPS, Marjorie has shown a strong commitment and understanding of the importance of building relationships with families and the community to ensure students have the things they need to succeed,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson. “She has demonstrated leadership in the areas of numeracy and mental health, both of which are priorities for the division and our schools.”

Mrs. Charles joined NLPS in 2011 as a teacher at Iron River School, where she taught math, science, physical education and health to students in Kindergarten to Grade 9. She also served as the school’s numeracy leader, creating numeracy focused presentations for staff and parents. In 2017, she transferred to Duclos School, where she has taught Kindergarten and Grade 4 and served as the school’s Student Services Team Coordinator, assisting families and staff with the development and implementation of individualized program plans (IPPs).

"I feel completely blessed to be given the opportunity to serve the students, parents, and staff of Ardmore School as their principal,” said Mrs. Charles. “ It is my hope that together we will continue to ensure that Ardmore School is a great place where the whole community can grow, learn and achieve together."
