Embracing the Power of Kindness: February's Heartfelt Journey

Hello, wonderful parents and students!

This month, we joined hands to spread positivity and create ripples of compassion that touch hearts both big and small. The younger students learned how to spread kindness through “bucket filling”. Here are several read-alouds of the bucket filler books that can help families reinforce this terminology at home:

Iron River School recognized Pink Shirt Day on February 28, 2024. This year’s theme was “Lift  Each Other Up”. Staff and students were encouraged to wear pink on this day, and participate in school-wide activities regarding kindness and anti-bullying. We designed our own pink shirts and made “Cups of Kindness” to beautify our bulletin boards.
