AP 220: Extra-Curricular Interscholastic Programs
Background
The Division believes student participation in a variety of school activities which are outside the scope of the regular instructional program help:
- Develop social, citizenship and leadership skills;
- Promote school spirit and morale;
- Broaden student experiences; and
- Demonstrate school achievements to the community.
The Division further believes extra-curricular and interscholastic programs provide a
positive learning experience.
Procedures
- The Superintendent expects extra-curricular programs to occur at times that
minimize interruption of the daily instructional program either through the absence of
the teacher or through the absence of the student.
