Policy Appendix A: CUPE Negotiations Committee

The CUPE Negotiations Committee is established as a standing committee of the Board, with responsibility for work as detailed below:

  1. Purpose
    1. Negotiate a collective agreement with CUPE representatives.
  2. Powers and Duties
    1. Establish Board proposals within the mandates set by the Board.
    2. Negotiate with CUPE representatives.
    3. Recommend action to the Board on negotiations issues.
  3. Membership
    1. Two trustees
    2. Superintendent and/or designate
  4. Meetings
    1. To be called by the Committee Chair in consultation with Committee members, as required, to negotiate agreements.
