Northern Lights Public Schools is pleased to announce that Samear Abougouche has been appointed Principal of Vera M. Welsh Elementary School in Lac La Biche.

“Sam’s focus on relationship building and his strong connections in the community will further enhance the learning opportunities available to students at Vera M. Welsh Elementary,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson.

The transition between Abougouche and current Principal Dana Robb, who is retiring after serving almost 40 years with the school division, will begin this week.
