New Assistant Principals Appointed

(Bonnyville, Alberta – June 27, 2018) Several Northern Lights schools will have new assistant principals when the new school year starts in September.
Bruce Greengrass, who is currently Assistant Principal for Northern Lights Outreach Schools, has been appointed Assistant Principal of Bonnyville Centralized High School. Mr. Greengrass previously taught Social Studies at BCHS in 2012 and at Cold Lake Outreach prior to becoming Assistant Principal of Northern Lights Outreach Schools, a position he has held since 2014.
Michael Straile has also been appointed Assistant Principal of Bonnyville Centralized High School. This is a new position, established in part due to the modernization project that is scheduled to start soon at the school. Mr. Straile currently teaches grades 7 & 8 at H.E. Bourgoin Middle School in Bonnyville.
Tristan Ilko will be the new Assistant Principal at Duclos School in Bonnyville. Mr. Ilko has been a teacher at H.E. Bourgoin School in Bonnyville since 2011.
Lisa Gingras, who is currently Assistant Principal at Cold Lake Elementary School, has been appointed Assistant Principal of Northern Lights Outreach Schools. Mrs. Gingras previously taught at Grand Centre High School and Cold Lake Elementary, where she also served as the school’s Inclusive Education Coordinator and Learning Coach, before becoming Assistant Principal in 2015.
Natalie Ogrodiuk-Whaley will be the new Assistant Principal of Cold Lake Elementary School. Mrs. Ogrodiuk-Whaley joined Northern Lights in 1998 and has taught at Cold Lake Elementary, Nelson Heights School and North Star Elementary. She has also served as Assistant Principal of Cold Lake Elementary and Grand Centre Elementary.
Nicole Coben has been appointed Assistant Principal at North Star Elementary School in Cold Lake. She is currently the Student Support Team (SST) Coordinator at Cold Lake Elementary School, a role she also held at Bonnyville Centralized High School before moving to Cold Lake Elementary in 2009.
